The Producer:
The Vauthier family has been growing vines and making wines in Saint-Emilion since 1690, when they purchased the world-famous Chateae Ausone, which remains in the family to this day. Pauline Vauthier, winemaker and vineyard manager, represents the 11th generation. She and her team give the same attention to Chateau Simard as they do to Ausone. The standards of quality are pretty simple: quality first, no compromise.
