Region: Margaux, Médoc, France
Alc: 13%
Tasting Notes:
Prominent black fruit aromas, ripe cherries and hints of licorice, chocolate and subtle toast from the oak aging. Moderate acidity, supple tannins and long aromatic finish.
The Producer:
Chateau Charmant is a family-owned estate of only 4 hectares (this is exceptionally small for the area!). René Renon's vineyard is surrounded by some of the most prestigious producers of the appellation: Margaux, Lascombe and Cantenac Brown. The vines are 60 years-old on average. The vineyard's soil is a mix of gravels and clayey sand with South and Southwest exposure. These great characteristics result in a bold style of Margaux consistently among the best of the region.
